Whilst researching other energy drinks like lucozade, we noticed a gap in the market for a sports drink aimed women, so we decided it would be a good idea to create a drink that fills this gap, yet doesn't exclude other genders. We decided using a female in our energy drink advert would be a good representation of this. In our advert we aim to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage younger generations to exercise more.
We chose to call our drink IGNITE to suggest a surge of energy, like a fire. We used a fire with the word ignite written inside for the logo of our drink. We chose the slogan "Girls can" to tell girls that not only can they do sport but the can belongs to them as well as boys. We have also used the colour turquoise because its a colour that appeals to all genders. We also are using a wall in our energy drink advert as the backdrop in the gym scenes which is a matching turquoise to represent the energy drink throughout the advert.
We decided to set our advert in a gym and on a field to represent the contrast between dream and reality and how you can become more like you dream yourself to be after consuming our energy drink. The advert will open in a gym, where the character is struggling to run on a treadmill and is lacking energy. We are then using extreme closeups on the characters eyes closing and opening to symbolise waking up in her dream on a field where she can run fast and with energy. She will cross the line, then close and reopen her eyes in reality where she will be drinking the energy drink to show how the drink gives you energy, like she had in her dream. We will also end the advert with our slogan "Girls can" and the drink logo is visible on the can to show to audience what the drink looks like.
